Policies & Terms

By booking a tour, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

1. Booking Communications

  1. 1.1Upon payment, you will receive a confirmation email with all necessary details including the meeting point, time, and contact information. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive it.
  2. 1.2Your email address will be your tour guide's mechanism for communications of any alerts or alterations to the tour.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  1. 2.1Cancellations made 3 hours or more before the scheduled tour time receive a full refund. You can cancel any time from the manage-booking link in your confirmation email.
  2. 2.2Cancellations made less than 3 hours before the tour time are not eligible for a refund.
  3. 2.3No-shows are charged the full tour price and are not eligible for a refund. You are considered a no-show if you are not at the predetermined tour meeting point within 15 minutes of the tour's posted start time.
  4. 2.4Beaming Boston Tours reserves the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, guests will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
  5. 2.5For refunds not covered by this standard policy, email crymeariver@beamss.com.

3. Rescheduling

  1. 3.1You may reschedule self-serve, via the manage-booking link, any time more than 3 hours before your scheduled tour — onto any tour with open spots departing within 30 days of your original tour date.
  2. 3.2If the new tour's price differs from what you paid, the difference is charged (securely, via our payment processor) or refunded to your original payment method before the move is confirmed.
  3. 3.3Inside 3 hours, or for anything the self-serve flow can't handle, email w@beamss.comand we'll do our best.

4. Tour Changes and Modifications

  1. 4.1Beaming Boston Tours reserves the right to make changes to the tour route, duration, and schedule due to weather conditions, road closures, or other factors beyond our control.
  2. 4.2In the event of significant changes, we will notify guests as soon as possible and provide options for rescheduling or refunds.
  3. 4.3If you are requested to reply to a communication, we will not wait more than 100 hours for your reply to influence decision making about your registration or payment.

5. Health and Safety

  1. 5.1Guests are responsible for their own health and safety during the tour. Please ensure you are in good physical condition and capable of moving outside for the duration of the tour.
  2. 5.2Beaming Boston Tours is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or health issues that may occur during the tour. Guests participate at their own risk.
  3. 5.3We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and bringing weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and water.
  4. 5.4By registering for a public tour, you acknowledge and agree that there may occur events, conditions or circumstances that may result in personal injury to you or damage to your property. You hereby assume the risk of the incurrence of any such injuries or property damage and release the tour operator and indemnify the tour operator from any and all claims, actions, costs, damages and liabilities whatsoever arising from your participation in the tour.

6. Weather Policy

  1. 6.1Tours will be cancelled when adverse weather conditions are predicted.
  2. 6.2If a tour is cancelled due to weather, guests will be offered a rescheduled date or a full refund.
  3. 6.3Unpredicted severe weather which begins after a tour starts may nonetheless result in suspension of a tour. Reschedules or refunds will be discussed directly between participants and your guide.

7. Behavior and Conduct

  1. 7.1We expect all guests to behave respectfully towards other tour guests and the public.
  2. 7.2Beaming Boston Tours reserves the right to remove any guest who is disruptive, intoxicated, or behaving indecently. No refund will be provided in such cases.

8. Photography and Media

  1. 8.1Beaming Boston Tours may take photographs or videos during the tour for promotional purposes. By participating, you consent to the use of your image for such purposes — tell your guide if you'd prefer not to be included and we'll respect it on the spot.
  2. 8.2Guests are welcome to take photos during the tour. Please be mindful of other guests.

9. Borrowed Equipment

  1. 9.1To enhance your experience on the tour, your guide may offer various equipment to be borrowed during the tour — including time with the "Beamcaster", our portable HD display. Intentional abuse or destruction of that equipment is subject to replacement fees which will be disclosed when the equipment is borrowed.
  2. 9.2For example, a portable scroll whiteboard with a marker may be offered for interactive moments and to quickly assess group preferences for elements of the tour. This 3D-printed whiteboard with a marker is subject to an $8 replacement fee.

10. Reduced-Fare Tickets

  1. 10.1Tours may offer a Reduced fare alongside the standard Adult fare. Reduced fare is available to youth under 18, students (with a current school or university enrollment), retirees, and public servants — military, teachers, police, firefighters, EMS, and similar service roles.
  2. 10.2Eligibility is on the honor system — we don't ask for documentation at checkout, and your guide won't card you at the meeting point. We simply ask that you book the fare that honestly describes your party.

11. Governing Law

  1. 11.1These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Massachusetts.
